We believe a sound investment considers the social and ethical consequences. That's why we incorporate values into our investment management process. In addition to traditional financial analysis, we exclude companies with significant revenues from alcohol, tobacco, meat products and services, gambling, pornography (and other forms of unethical entertainment), weapons of mass destruction, and conventional financial institutions that profit from these social harms. We also do not invest in companies whose debt ratios are greater than or equal to 33% and whose accounts receivables ratios are greater than or equal to 45%.
Our screening process is highly disciplined. In fact, it's even automated using our proprietary software so that our money managers stay focused.
